Hey backers!
Things are still trucking along slowly, so here's our bi-monthly check in.
A number of boxes are still in customs. I can't for the life of me tell you why they're taking so long to release our books. My best guess is that they're processing the shipments a box at a time. I periodically get updates stating where the boxes are - just that they're not coming to us! As I said, my best guess is that they're going one box at a time and not consecutively because we did receive some books today. (Picture below!)
The orders for Caraway and Reliquest were much larger, and therefore are many more boxes than the Avie's order. So I'm thinking they finished this series of shipping labels and pushed 'em through.
So while I'm frustrated that we don't have all our books, I am bolstered by seeing something arrive. And I hope you are, too!
Now that we have some books in-hand, we'll get auxiliary items like pins and stickers ordered. We've worked out the kinks in pin production, so I'm optimistic for no future delays there. So those of you who only backed for Avie's / Avie's plus add-ons, will see tracking numbers early next month.
Magical Natalie Update: Chapter three has been lettered! Trevor and our editing team are reviewing that now, and we're working on chapter four. Those of you who backed for a digital copy will see chapter three soon.

Here with a couple updates!
~Updates~
Books progress
Avie's Stories - advance copies are being shipped to the creator. Full print run is in production. Expected in 6 - 8 weeks, depending on how kind the shipping gods are to us.
Caraway - advance copies are being shipped to the creator. Full print run is in production. Expected in 6 - 8 weeks, again, depending on shipping.
Reliquest - final proof should be approved this weekend! Then we'll be getting advance copies to the creator in about 2 weeks. The fill print run will go into production once the proof is approved by Alyx. Then we should expect those books in 8 - 12 weeks.
Magical Natalie - currently being lettered, then we'll move into proofing.
Rewards
Most rewards are pending the arrival of books. Digital rewards will be going out this weekend! If your order includes a digital copy of Magical Natalie, this title will be released by issue (as they're ready) and again as a complete trade.
~Deadlines~
Reward surveys were sent nearly two months ago, and we're sitting at 79% completion. That means more than 20% of backers haven't filled out their reward surveys yet. Yikes! If you don't fill out your survey, we can't deliver your rewards.

If you complete your survey by June 1, 2024:
You'll get your rewards in the first shipment of rewards with everyone else. No delays.
If you complete your survey after June 1, 2024:
You will still get your rewards; however, it will be delayed. Our fulfillment team is part-time and likes to fulfill Kickstarter rewards in large batches. Basically, we won't make a special trip to the warehouse just for you. So please get those surveys in if you don't like waiting.

Marvel comic artist Jeffrey Veregge was a dear friend of mine whom we recently lost to Lupus. After more than 1,000 days in the hospital, well, you can imagine the medical expenses. Before he fell ill, Jeffrey designed a Modern Medusa cover for a project we didn't get to finish before he was hospitalized.
Jeffrey's Modern Medusa is currently available as a limited edition, numbered enamel pin, t-shirt, and Giclee art print. Proceeds will be gifted to his wife Christina.
Finally, our latest comic title will be launching next month!
Bouquets & Death Rays is an all-ages superhero rom com. The nicest, sweetest woman in the whole wide world is getting married! And she's asked her two best friends to share maid of honor duties. The only problem is that those friends are actually superhero/villain arch nemeses: Tesla & Stiletto.
Can they put their game of cat and mouse aside for their mutual best friend? Will the wedding go off without a hitch?
